Slovenska sporitelna, Tatra banka, and VUB bank are highly regarded as the best banks in Slovakia:
Slovenska sporitelna is one of the most important financial institutions in the country. It has the longest tradition in providing the services of a savings bank. The British magazine Euromoney awarded Slovenska sporitelna with the prestigious award The Best Bank in Slovakia – Euromoney 2011 Awards for Excellence. The Bank also won the award as The Best Bank in Slovakia by the prestigious American magazine Global Finance.
Tatra banka, a.s. was established in 1990 as the first private bank in the country. It has received many prestigious awards and distinctions, some of which include:
