Best Global Bank Award

Credit Suisse was recognized as the “Best Global Bank” 2010 by Euromoney, a leading investment banking magazine. Credit Suisse is one of the best-run banks in the world. Its model is one that many other global banks are seeking to emulate. Other strengths highlighted by Euromoney include the Bank's strong capital position, its credit rating and notable performances in the investment bank and private banking divisions. It was also recognized as Best Global Emerging Market Investment Bank. Euromoney recognised the strength of Credit Suisse's emerging markets platform.

BNP Paribas Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) won the “World's Best Global Bank in Trade Finance 2008” award from Global Finance magazine. The “World's Best Banks” were selected based on performance such as transaction volume, scope of global coverage, competitive pricing and innovative technologies, customer service, and other subjective criteria including reputation and management excellence.

In Euromoney's Awards for Excellence 2009, HSBC has won Euromoney's premier award as the Best Global Bank. Global Banking is one of the five main businesses within HSBC's Global Banking and Markets division. It is responsible for the overall management of relationships with major corporate and institutional clients across a wide area of geographies.

Zenith Bank Plc has been named the Best Global Bank in Africa at the African Banker Awards held at The Willard Hotel in Washington DC. The ceremony was hosted by the London-based IC Publications Ltd, publishers of African Banker magazine on the eve of the World Bank's critical global discussions on the state of the world's financial systems.
