Bank of New Zealand (BNZ) - Founded in 1861, it is one of largest banks in New Zealand. BNZ is a subsidiary of the National Australia Bank Group of companies, and is governed locally by a fully empowered New Zealand Board of Directors. The main management and administration functions of the Bank are located in Auckland and Wellington.

Westpac - It is one of the country’s largest full service banks, providing a full range of banking and financial services for personal, business and agribusiness banking as well as being the banker of the New Zealand Government. Westpac operates two banks in the country: Westpac New Zealand Limited, and Westpac Banking Corporation (NZ division).

ANZ - It is one of the country's largest companies based on profit and assets. ANZ New Zealand operates under a variety of different brands, including ANZ, The National Bank, OnePath, UDC Finance, EFTPOS New Zealand, Bonus Bonds and Direct Broking. The National Bank of New Zealand is consistently rated as one of the country's top performing bank brands in terms of customer satisfaction, according to Nielsen's Consumer Finance Monitor.

ASB Bank Limited - It is one of the nation's leading commercial banks with branches throughout the country. According to the Global Finance Magazine’s annual survey of 500 of the largest banks from around the world, ASB Bank is placed in the top 50 safest banks. It is the only New Zealand bank listed in the top 50, coming in at 18th. The “World’s 50 Safest Banks” are selected using a range of measures such as total assets and a comparison of long-term credit ratings from independent rating agencies.
