The top largest banks in Cyprus are Bank of Cyprus, Marfin Popular Bank, Alpha Bank Cyprus, among others.

Bank of Cyprus Public Company Ltd was established in 1899 and is the holding company of the Bank of Cyprus Group, which offers a broad range of financial products and services including banking services, leasing, factoring, brokerage, investment banking, fund management, general and life insurance services. The Bank is licensed by the Central Bank of Cyprus and operates under its regulation and supervision. The shares of the Bank are listed on the Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) and the Athens Exchange. The Bank is the largest listed company on the CSE in terms of market capitalization and it has a well-diversified shareholder base.

Marfin Popular Bank (formerly known as Cyprus Popular Bank) is the second largest banking group in Cyprus. The bank offers services to private individuals, corporate and commercial banking, Private Banking, Treasury, Electronic Banking, Factoring, International Banking Services, Financing and Leasing, Shipping Services, Insurance Services, Stock broking and Capital Management. Marfin Laiki Bank has won a number of awards such as: Money Markets International Custody Award (2008); Euromoney’s Award “Best Private Bank in Cyprus” for 2006, 2007 and 2008; Money Markets Magazine’s Award “Best in Class Custody; Best Sub Custodian Bank in Cyprus for 2009; etc.
