In India, Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) are the main stock markets. BSE is located at Dalal Street, Mumbai, India. It is the oldest stock exchange in Asia and has the largest number of listed companies in the world.

NSE has the following major segments of the capital market: Equity; Futures and Options; Retail Debt Market; Wholesale Debt Market; Mutual fund; Currency futures; Stocks Lending and Borrowing. It is the third largest stock exchange in the world in terms of transaction volumes.
