Best Foreign Banks in Russia

ZAO Citibank, Credit Suisse, Raiffeisenbank, and ING Bank are amongst the best foreign banks in Russia:

ZAO Citibank, a subsidiary of Citi, was named the Best Foreign Bank in Russia by Global Finance magazine in 2009 for the second consecutive year. Citi Russia was among the first international banks to enter the Russian market when it set up a local bank in Moscow in 1993. The Bank has grown to become one of the country's largest banks offering a comprehensive range of products and services to corporate and consumer customers.

According to the Central Bank of Russia statistics for 2008, Citi was the 4th most profitable bank in the country outrun only by largest state banks. Additionally, Forbes (Russian Edition) placed Citi among most strong and secure banks in Russia in its annual ranking.

Credit Suisse launched its private banking onshore operations in Moscow in September 2006. It is one of the first international banks to offer onshore private banking services in Russia, which marks another major step in the implementation of our international growth strategy. In Euromoney's global "Private Banking Survey 2009", Credit Suisse was rated best in class for its private banking services and best foreign bank in Russia.

Raiffeisenbank was named the Best Foreign Bank in Russia, according to EMEA Finance magazine (2011). It is also the "Best foreign-owned bank that contributed most to the development of Russian economy", National Banking Award, 2006.

ING Commercial Banking has been operating in Russia since 1993. It is one of the 10 top foreign banks in Russia, and in the Top 3 in RUB deposit market as well as in the Top 3 MLA of syndicated loans in Russia. In 1996, the Euromoney magazine named ING Bank Moscow "the best foreign bank in Russia".
