Macedonian Stock Exchange

The Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) is the principal stock exchange in the Republic of Macedonia. It was established as a joint stock company operating on a non-profit basis, with a founding capital of one million deutschmarks.

On 16 October 1996 the Exchange was accepted as a full member of the Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS). It is also an affiliated member of Federation of European Stock Exchange (FESE) since 2005.

In 2003 the Macedonian Stock Exchange signed Memorandums of Understanding with the stock exchanges in Belgrade, Zagreb and Sofia. The new Internet portal of the stock exchanges in Southeast Europe was promoted, of which the MSE was one of the main initiators.

In 2007 MSE realized record turnover of 41, 7 billions euros and MBI 10 index achieved its biggest value breaking the barrier of 10.000 index points. There was also a signing of the Memorandum of partnership between the exchanges in Belgrade, Skopje, Zagreb and Ljubljana. This helps further develop the regional and national markets and thus serve the needs of major regional and international market players.

On the Macedonian Stock Exchange, investors can trade with various securities including shares, bonds and other securities. All types of securities may be traded by forwarding an order to the broker.
