Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation

The Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation (TSEC) is located in Taipei, Taiwan. It was established in 1961 and started operating as a stock exchange on 9 February 1962.

Listed securities on TWSE include stocks, entitlement certificates of convertible bonds, government bonds, convertible bonds, beneficiary certificates, put warrants, call warrants, ETFs and Taiwan Depository Receipts (TDRs).

The Exchange established a Securities Borrowing and Lending System (SBL) on 30 June 2003. Participants include institutional investors such as banks, securities firms, insurance companies and foreign institutional investors, while TWSE serves as an intermediary. The system provides the following transactions: fixed-rate transactions, competitive auction transactions and negotiated transactions.

In order to bring the public closer to the stock market, TWSE has set up an Information Center to provide the following information:
- market data displays (such as trading graphs, international stock market data, foreign exchange rates, trade data displays, etc.)
- current trends in TWSE
- trading simulation systems and educational network services
- live broadcasts of ceremonies and speeches
- interactive inquiries and display systems
