The Stock Exchange of Thailand

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) is the national stock exchange of Thailand, established  under the Securities Exchange of Thailand Act, B.E. 2517 (1974). Operations started on April 30, 1975.

Its main operations include securities listing, trading, market surveillance and member supervision, supervision of listed companies and information disclosure, information dissemination and investor education.

SET Index is a composite index that represents the price movement for all common stocks trading on the Exchange. The SET Index calculation is adjusted in line with modifications in the values of stocks resulting from changes in the number of stocks due to different factors such as public offerings, exercised warrants, conversions of preferred to common shares, in order to remove all effects other than price movements from the index.

SET has membership in the following international organizations:
- Asian and Oceanian Stock Exchanges Federation (AOSEF)
- World Federation of Exchanges (WFE)
- International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO)
